The 2013 M-League concluded with new champions, new stars and new beginnings but who do you think deserves the right to be called this year’s Most Valuable Player?

Friday, 29 November 2013

It is almost time for the annual National Football Awards and with 13 categories of awards to give out, players and fans alike have a lot to shout about this year.
The cream of the crop will be honoured for their outstanding performances throughout the year as the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) give out awards for best players in their respective positions along with the following prizes: Best Promising Player, Best Import Player, Best Coach, Best Football Association, Best Team, Best Fan Club, Best Referee, Best Assistant Referee and finally, the Most Valuable Player (MVP) award.
The single most prestigious award, the MVP, was given to Norshahrul Idlan Talaha for three years in row but can he break the records and take home the honours for the fourth time this season?
Marlon Alex James is the Malaysian Super League’s (MSL) top scorer, while Effa Owona took the same honour in the Malaysia FA Cup.
Matias Conti and Marlon James are joint top scorers in the Malaysia Cup but Azamuddin Akil was the tournament’s best player; Badhri Radzi was picked as the best player for the Malaysia FA Cup.
Would these accolades make a difference in selecting the 2013 MVP?
HAVE YOUR SAY
Who do you think should be named the 2013 Most Valuable Player?
Besides those names mentioned above, there are many players that have stood out in their clubs like Shahril Ishak from the LionsXII and Sarawak’s Joseph Kallang Tie; both men helped their sides to glory in their respective leagues.
